Fresh from supporting King Kong Company at the Cork Jazz Festival, producer & bass player Peter Vogelaar brings his new live 2-man show (with drummer Connor Walsh) to Waterford for the first time. No stranger to the Waterford music scene, he has remixed a wide range of artists from Wyvern Lingo to Josh Ritter. As he is tipping a million streams on Spotify, his tracks and remixes of his Sophomore album 'Inner Creatures' have gotten support from the likes of Sasha, Kölsch, Eelke Kleijn and Black Coffee.
Peter’s earthy sounding organic electronica has been licensed to HBO, NBC & MTV tv shows and has been commissioned to supply audio for various museum installations as far as TANK Museum in Shanghai.
Described by Nialler9 as "One of Ireland’s most promising young producers” Evan Miles continues to hone his infectious sound with supoport form a long list of international heavy hitters such as Christian Loffler, Rufus Du Sol, Martin Garrix, Sasha, Matt Ryder, Sonnee and Jacana People. This is reflected with national radio support within Ireland from the likes of RTE 2FM and across the UK with BBCR1 and Reprezent Radio, and Spotify editorial playlist additions (2.5M strams to date)
Playing gigs in Waterford and Berlin (for his label mates, New York based Dance Artifakts) Declan Burke continues to solidify his craft as his recently released EP for Poly Amber records broke the Top 50 Melodic House & Techno chart on Beatport.
Spinning throughout and at the end of the night are Waterford stalwarts SX2. Needing no introduction!,The Sullivan brothers Clive & Scott reputation is growing steadily as they have closed festival stages at All together Now and Electric Picnic. Venturing into production their 'Steady Up EP has been recieved to huge acclaim.
Crossed Wires Festival is a celebration of live electronic music set in Waterford City, with a particular emphasis on light and melodic electronic genres such as Ambient, Electronica, and Melodic House. While electronic music is ubiquitous in our lives today, residents of Waterford rarely get the opportunity to experience it live. Crossed Wires aims to fill this gap, embracing collaboration with local businesses and organisations to enhance the cultural landscape of the city and create lasting connections within the community.
Taking place in unique venues throughout the city—from traditional spaces to unconventional locations—the festival provides an engaging programme atmosphere that invites exploration and discovery.
