ABOUT BANK LANE
Bank Lane is an independent live music and entertainment venue in the heart of Waterford City.
Since opening, we’ve set out to build something Waterford had been missing — a dedicated, professionally equipped venue capable of bringing some of the best live music, comedy and touring shows in Ireland to the city.
Our stage has welcomed artists including Villagers, The Scratch, Pillow Queens, Ye Vagabonds, Fionn Regan, Kíla, Gilla Band, Soda Blonde, Jenny Greene, Tom Meighan, The Lemonheads, Cry Before Dawn and many more.
In 2025, Bank Lane was named among Hot Press magazine’s Best Venues in Ireland, recognising the venue’s growing place on the national live circuit.
At the heart of what we do is a commitment to original live music. We want Waterford to be an essential stop for touring artists, while creating a stage for emerging Irish acts and giving audiences in the South East the chance to discover great artists in an intimate live setting.
That commitment extends beyond our indoor programme. In 2026, we launched Block Party, a summer series of free outdoor shows in the heart of Waterford, bringing original Irish artists to the city every Saturday throughout the summer. The series created a new platform for emerging and established acts while making original live music accessible to thousands of people in the city centre.
With a 400-capacity main venue, professional production and a programme spanning live music, comedy and special events, Bank Lane is continuing to grow — but the idea behind it remains simple:
