Have you ever wondered what The Usual Suspects would be like if it was set in Lisduggan?

“Deise Dogs” is a heist comedy with a twist – the twist being that it’s set in Waterford City and the target of the heist is an iconic Waterford landmark! Written and directed by Derek Flynn, it tells the story of three young Waterford lads badly in need of some quick cash who come up with a hairbrained scheme to knock off one of Waterford’s most iconic buildings.

Alongside Derek, “Deise Dogs” stars Kieran Walsh, Jamie Power, and Gary Deasy.

Kieran Walsh is a Waterford-based actor who desperately seeks validation through pretending to be other people, at home and abroad, working extensively in theatre, and occasionally in film and TV. From the Crucible and Our Town to Macbeth and Twelfth Night, he do be all over the genres. All over 'em. Jamie Power used to act a lot, now he acts less, but he’s delighted to be acting in this. Gary Deasy has appeared in Plays by Flying Turtle Productions, Firedoor Theatre, Downes Pub Theatre and Shakespeare Squared.

As one half of the local theatre group Theatre Vamps, Derek Flynn has produced a number of plays over the past two years. One of his most recent – A Perfect Stranger – was nominated for five Waterford News & Star Green Room awards, winning Best Supporting Actress.

Theatre Vamps most recent production, Misery, was a hit with audiences and critics alike, selling out numerous nights in both the Theatre Royal, Waterford, and the Coastguard Cultural Centre in Tramore.

“Deise Dogs” will be performed in Bank Lane, Waterford on Thursday November 7.
