Circuit Breaker is a brand new live music night at Bank Lane, launched in association with MCD, spotlighting emerging talent from across the country. Designed to bring the best of Ireland’s rising bands together under one roof, each edition will showcase a mix of fresh sounds and fierce energy.
Kicking things off in style on Saturday, November 8th, the debut event features four killer acts—Squire (local support), Croíthe, BABYRAT, and Anemoia—promising a stacked night of new music discovery in the heart of Waterford.

SQUIRE
SQUIRE, Are an upcoming 5 piece alt indie rock band. Coming from the vibrant and creative streets of Waterford, SQUIRE are an Alternative Indie rock band that brings their raw energy with adrenaline filled lyrics to form their fast paced, off the walls sound. With their playful group dynamic and infectious melodies, they captivate audiences with each electrifying song and performance.

Croíthe
Croítheis a Dublin-based indie post-punk band known for their dark, atmospheric sound and intense live performances. Influenced by Joy Division, The Murder Capital, and The Stone Roses, they blend moody guitars, driving basslines, and raw, emotive vocals.
BABYRAT
Bursting out of the heart of Cork City, BABYRAT has the future of music looking Pretty in Punk with their abrasive bitch-pop sound. Sonically landing somewhere between The Strokes and Olivia Rodrigo, BABYRAT’s sing-along melodies are intertwined with unapologetic lyrics that are thrust forward by the electrifying future-nostalgia sound that the band have created. BABYRAT delivers an infectious energy with a confidence and chemistry that is unmatched.
ANEMOIA
‘anemoia’ began on a bedroom floor in 2018, started by a 15 year old Gerald Higgins in Co. Mayo. Taking early inspiration from artists like A.R Kane, Rosetta Stone & Current Joys, ‘anemoia’ released their debut album ‘driving songs’, a necessary Shoegaze portfolio of Roland TR-505 loops & ethereal looped guitar pieces; all created between 2019 -2021.
With their latest single 'cowboy' released in April of 2025, it garnered playlisting and support from IMRO, Hot Press, and Genuine Irish. Alongside, it has been featured on Radio X, Radio Nova, RTÉ 2 FM, and more.
The sound continues to be restless and raw, building on this sense of nostalgia and the weight of things left unsaid.
